Psychic Training | Lesson 3

Third-eye | Mind’s Eye

When people hear the Third-eye, or Mind’s eye, they almost immediately think of the Pyramid cap with an eye enclosed in a triangle; which can also be seen on the back of the one-dollar bill. The symbol of an eye in this respect, actually depicts the all seeing eye of God. But the Third-eye is also closely related to the Mind’s eye and a higher knowing. It is because of this reason, that the symbol is also related to psychic phenomena, as the information obtained through psychic feats almost seems to come from a higher place or attunement.

It is also associated with the sixth-chakra in eastern culture’s meditative practices. As well as a more modern spin with the Third-eye being associated with the pineal glad located in-between the two hemispheres of the brain. As you can see, the Third-eye or Mind’s eye is surrounded by myth and legend, but more specifically, intrigue. It has in some fashion or another, caught the attention of every culture. So, I figured it might suit well for a lesson.

I picked up a book not too long ago, about Energy Work. In fact, that was the Title, Energy Work by Robert Bruce. It’s a good read and can help you out a lot if you feel stuck or are new to the ideas of Energy Work, and want results more quickly, but it also has a lot of exercises. Anyways, in the book, he mentions an exercise that I have ran across before, and decided to play around with. You basically visualize a purple energy ball, as purple corresponds with that chakra. Try and imagine it as if it had static/electrical qualities and feel this ball as much as visualize it, and every sensation that might accompany it if the ball actually existed.

Once created, and you can feel it, or at least some sensation, you begin to move it slowly, in and out of the Third-eye chakra which is located between the eyes on the eye-brow ridge. You focus purely on your actions and the sensation of it moving in and out, through flesh and bone and into the brain itself; trying to feel every detail as it passes through and stimulates the energy there. Do this repetitively for a few minutes and then stop for the day, and do it each day for a few minutes. If the sensations become bothersome, stop for that day and don’t do it again until the problem passes.

I have found that with this method my accuracy with intuition has increased and become a little more active. Not to mention my concentration has improved as well, which is always nice.

As a side note, you don’t want to stress over feeling the sensations, if you can't feel it immediately, keep trying and it will come, but don't stress. He describes it as electrical, but I personally couldn’t feel it as electrical, it was more like the area got sensitive and receptive to activity. The sensation felt more like moving air, and sometimes a heavy or thickness where ever I felt the ball. So long as you feel something, and it isn’t bothering you, you should be ok. But you really should try and hone in on what you are feeling in response to what you are trying to do mentally. After only a few days, I was able to notice more results, it was quite interesting.

Doing this exercise should help with opening up more of your psychic abilities and this area; the Third-eye or Mind’s eye has always been associated with Psychic abilities and Intuition.

I hope this lesson helped some.
